I have been in Apar since February 1995 and I was more or less the 15th employee in the firm. I arrived by chance as I was in the course of studying at the Conservatorio music school and wanted to start creating a productive future for myself.
Things soon turned out to be more serious than expected.
During my career in Apar I’ve had the chance to handle nearly all types of jobs that exist in the company. At the beginning, to gain experience on the nature of the work, I assisted the external fitters in the assembly stage of the fastenings.
This stage should have lasted a year but after a couple of months I was transferred to the office to deal with technical development for the workshop and external measuring.
Soon, however, I began to be involved in the estimating and production stages too.
Since 1997 my main function has become commercial in the context of company management in reorganizing the sales department.
In 1998 with the transfer of the company to the new and present premises, the sales office was created. From that moment my job in the company was that of Sales Manager.
In the two years following 1999-2000 new needs stemming from good company results, again changed my role in the firm.
Since the end of 2001 to today I have occupied the position of Managing Director.
In these nine years, my career has been marked by my desire to emerge, which is part of my character. Without doubt the people I work with have always stimulated me to do well and improve, helping me find the extra energy always necessary in business.
The other main factor has been to find a company that wanted to expand and business people willing to put their trust in me.
Today, as Director, I can say that Apar is the right company for those who want to get on and are sure of their capability, but who haven’t yet found someone ready to believe in them. I wouldn’t recommend this company to those looking for a steady, static and easy job.
For anybody with a dynamic business outlook, I would advise them to try, and not to worry about what he can do, but to get across to others the skills he has and what makes him want to work in the Apar team.
